Two boys suspected of stealing cars from several homes across north and west Kent have been charged.
Between Saturday 1 and Tuesday 11 March 2025, five addresses were targeted overnight by two people dressed in dark tracksuits. It is alleged car keys were stolen following untidy searches.
Vehicles were then reportedly stolen from outside the premises including:
An iPhone and iPad were also stolen from an address near Walderslade Road, Rochester, between 3am and 4am on 7 March. Further property was taken from cars parked in Randolph Road, Rochester between 8pm on 10 March and 7.30am on 11 March.
Investigators arrested two 17 year old boys from Strood, Kent and Southend-on-Sea, Essex, on 11 March. They were later charged with conspiring to steal motor vehicles, conspiring to commit burglaries, and theft from a motor vehicle.
The suspects have been remanded to custody pending a hearing at Medway Magistrates' Court on 13 March.
