Drugs including suspected cocaine and cannabis have been seized and three arrests made near Ashford town centre.
Ashford’s neighbourhood officers were patrolling the Jemmett Road area on Wednesday 30 October 2024 when they became suspicious of a vehicle nearby.
Police approached the car and after speaking to the occupants, carried out searches.
Bags containing a large quantity of cannabis were found in the vehicle, as well as cash.
Enquiries led to further searches at a property in the town where police seized more cannabis, as well as quantities of suspected class A drugs, and equipment believed to be used for drug dealing. A zombie knife was also found and seized.
Three men from Ashford, aged 26, 30 and 32, were arrested on suspicion of possessing class B drugs with intent to supply.
The 32 year old man was also arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon.
The 26 year old suspect was further arrested on suspicion of drug driving, theft and possessing class A drugs.
All three have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
