Patrols have swiftly tracked down and arrested suspects linked to the theft of high value clothing from a shop in Faversham.
At around midday on Tuesday 21 May 2024, two men entered Saddlesdane Equestrian Supplies in Ashford Road and spoke with staff members.
It is alleged that the pair then pulled a number of jackets from a display stand and ran from the store without paying for the goods.
The men then reportedly left the scene by car with stolen items worth a combined value of nearly £6,000.
Officers attended and, following initial enquiries which included a CCTV review, they identified the vehicle suspected to be involved in the theft.
By 4pm the car had been successfully located and officers arrested three men in connection with the incident.
Leon Holder, aged 34, of Fairview, Hawkhurst, was later charged with three counts of theft, criminal damage, and possession of cannabis.
Anthony Wood, aged 39, of The Ridge West, East Sussex, was also charged with theft.
Both appeared before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 23 May.
Mr Holder has since been remanded in custody, while Mr Wood has been bailed, with both due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Friday 7 June.
A third man in his 40s, from Cranbrook, was also arrested on suspicion of theft. He has been dealt with by way of a conditional caution.
