Three arrested following pursuit near Tonbridge

Three suspected thieves are in custody following a pursuit through West Peckham.

At around 10pm on Sunday 9 August 2026, proactive patrols spotted a suspicious vehicle on the A26 Tonbridge Road, heading towards Seven Mile Lane in the direction of Wrotham.

Officers signalled for the car to stop.

It failed to do so and, following a short pursuit, was brought to a stop in Borough Green.

Three occupants were detained and a subsequent search led to the seizure of 2 barrels containing fuel.

Arrested

Two men in their 20s, from Durham and Surrey, were later arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, theft from a motor vehicle, and theft.

Another man in his 30s, from Surrey, was arrested on suspicion of the same offences, as well as failing to stop, driving dangerously, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

The suspects remain in custody pending further enquiries.
