Charges have been secured against three men who reportedly broke into a Maidstone home and threatened four victims.
Officers were called just after 2am on Monday 2 September 2024 to a report of a burglary at a residential property in the Shepway area.
It is reported that three masked men entered the property and made threats of harm to four residents.
The suspects are alleged to have left the scene before patrols stopped and detained them in Cumberland Avenue.
Later searches led to the seizure of a hammer and a knife. One man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and two other suspects were arrested on suspicion of burglary.
Harry Britten, 20, of Waters End in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, Aramis Sullivan, 21, of Gransden Close in Luton, Bedfordshire, and a 17-year-old boy from Bedford were later charged with burglary and possession of a knife or bladed article in a public place.
The men appeared before Medway Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 4 September 2024.
Mr Britten has since been granted bail, while Mr Sullivan and the teenager have been remanded to custody. All three suspects are due to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 30 September.
A local 42-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary and remains in custody, pending further enquiries.
