Tonbridge drug dealer found with 30 vials of cocaine

Eagled-eyed officers have removed 30 vials of cocaine and brought a west Kent drug dealer to justice.

Georgi Spasov, a Bulgarian national and convicted drug dealer, will now serve 3 years and 6 months in prison after Kent Police officers caught him running drugs in Tonbridge.

At around 5.30pm on 2 October 2025, patrols spotted a suspicious vehicle parked near Cannon Lane.

Initial police checks revealed the car was insured to an address more than 100 miles away and that it had been active on west Kent’s roads for extended periods of time for 10 days.

Suspecting the occupant to be involved in drug supply, officers approached the blue Ford Fiesta.

Spasov was found in the driver’s seat but unable to explain why he was in the area. He was detained and subsequent searches of the vehicle led to the discovery of a hide, concealed behind a panel above the centre console.

From within, officers seized a ‘sandwich bag’ of small plastic bottles filled with cocaine and arrested Spasov for possession with intent to supply cocaine.

He was taken to custody where he was further arrested for possession of criminal property when officers found £520 in cash on him.

The 39 year old, of Victoria Court in Maidstone, pleaded guilty to the offences and was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 18 May 2026.

Investigating officer, PC Benedict Cooper, said:

‘Our officers are specially trained to recognise activity that seems out of place. ‘In this case, Spasov’s presentation and car usage caught the patrol’s attention. ‘Thanks to finely tuned intuition, Kent Police has taken another drug dealer off the streets of Kent.’
