Roads policing officers took time out of their shifts to provide some road safety advice to Cubs in Tovil.
PC Matt Murray and PC Duncan Ford joined the youngsters on Monday October 18 2021 during one of their meetings at Scout HQ.
They spent the session talking to the children aged between eight and 10 years old about how to stay safe on the roads as well as telling them all about the role of a police officer and the different ways in which they can help people.
They then got to spend some time sitting in the police car and trying on some of the uniform for size.
PC Ford said: ‘Now that the evenings are getting darker it's more important than ever that children are reminded of how to stay safe out on the roads and this was a great opportunity to engage with the young people.
‘They really enjoyed having the police car there and being able to try on some of our uniform.’
The force’s Roads Policing Unit is a team of officers providing specialist response to the strategic road network.
