A van was stolen from Sevenoaks
A man and a teenager have been arrested following an attempted burglary near Gravesend.
At around a midday on Friday 8 March 2024, Kent Police was made aware of an attempted burglary in Southfleet, Gravesend.
Two suspects left the scene in a grey Peugeot.
Shortly after, numerous 999 calls reported a similarly-described vehicle for dangerous driving. A separate incident was linked to the same car shortly after, when a van was reported stolen from Sevenoaks.
Proactive patrols spotted a vehicle matching the Peugeot’s description on the A25 Riverhead and brought it to a stop in Homedean Road.
The driver and the passenger left on foot, and allegedly fled into nearby fields.
A 17-year-old boy and a 28-year-old man from Orpington were later arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary, dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without a licence or insurance, and theft of a motor vehicle.
Both have since been bailed until Wednesday 5 June pending further enquiries.
