Two men are in custody having been arrested on suspicion of robbery following a short pursuit in Medway.
Kent Police received a call just after 11.30pm on Wednesday 5 January 2022, to report a robbery in progress in Columbine Road, Rochester.
It was alleged that two people were sat in a car when they were approached by two men who proceeded to assault them before taking the car.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit were in the area and quickly spotted the stolen vehicle where, following a short pursuit, the vehicle collided with a wall in Chatham Hill and both men, aged 29 and 31 were arrested at 11.47pm.
They were both taken to a local hospital to be checked over but have since been taken into police custody, arrested on suspicion of robbery, driving unfit through drink/drugs, affray, failing to stop and assault.
