Two charged after 150 suspected cocaine wraps discovered

The discovery of 150 wraps of suspected Class A drugs at a property in Ashford has led to two men being charged.

At around 8.45pm on Friday 11 September 2026, Kent Police received reports from members of the public who were concerned about suspicious activity at an address in New Street.

Patrols attended the property and located two men inside, who were reportedly unable to provide an account for their presence at the address. One man also failed to provide his name to officers.

Police Dog

A search was carried out, assisted by Police Dog Charlie. Officers located approximately 150 wraps of suspected Class A drugs, believed to be cocaine, along with digital scales. A small quantity of cannabis was also seized, together with £490 in cash.

Roshan Yonghang, 32, of East Lodge Road, Ashford and Om Gurung, 31, of Cleves Way, Ashford, have since been charged with being concerned in the supply of a Class A drugs.

Court

Yonghang was remanded in custody and appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday 14 September. He has since been bailed and will attend crown court at a later date.

Gurung has been bailed to appear before Folkestone Magistrates' Court on 4 February 2027.
