Two men have been charged after an alleged burglary in Dartford.
Kent Police was called at around 1pm on Friday 13 February 2026 to reports of an ongoing incident at a store in The Orchards Shopping Centre.
It was reported that three men had entered the shop before leaving with jewellery and watches from display cabinets.
Two people who were in the store at the time also reported they were assaulted during the incident, resulting in injuries which did not require hospital treatment.
Responding swiftly to the incident, officers arrested one man 18 minutes after the first call and a second man was taken into custody later that evening.
Justin Darling, 47, of Daley Thompson Way, Battersea, London, was charged with burglary on Saturday 14 February. The same day, Barry Kenny, 49, of Honley Road, Catford, London, was charged with burglary and robbery, with another charge of theft relating to a separate incident.
At their first appearance at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 16 February, Mr Kenny was remanded in custody and Mr Darling was released on conditional bail until their next hearing on 16 March.
