A proactive stop of a suspicious vehicle near Hythe led to the seizure of almost 50kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of more than £1 million.
Officers from Folkestone’s beat team were on patrol on the A20 at around 10am on Thursday 21 May 2026 when they spotted an HGV that was being driven in a suspicious manner.
The vehicle was brought to a stop following a short pursuit and two men were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.
Later searches led to the discovery of three bags containing 46 blocks of white powder.
