Two suspects from London have been charged and remanded following a swift response by officers in Tunbridge Wells to reports of several burglaries in one day.
The alleged break-ins happened between 1pm and 2pm on Friday 21 October 2022, with properties targeted in areas including Church Road, Meadow Hill Road and Mount Pleasant Avenue.
Patrols attended and following assistance from members of the public located one of the suspects near the town’s train station.
Nabil Abozid, 46, of Blackfriars Road, Lambeth was arrested and later charged with three counts of burglary and an attempted burglary. He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 22 October and was remanded in custody.
A second suspect was arrested at his home in Druid Street, Bermondsey. Nigel Williams, 49, was charged with the same offences and appeared at court on Monday 24 October. He was also remanded.
Their next hearing is scheduled at Maidstone Crown Court on 21 November.
