Two suspects have been charged in connection with a robbery in Folkestone.
It was reported that a man walking in Beachborough Road was approached and threatened at knifepoint by the occupants of a white car which had stopped.
His mobile phone was stolen and used to transfer money out of his bank account. The robbery was reported to have taken place between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Saturday 1 February 2025. The victim and the offenders are reported to be known to each other.
On Monday 3 February, officers made two arrests as part of the investigation.
A 17-year-old boy from Hythe and Georgie Barrow, 18 of Pavilion Road, Folkestone, were each charged with robbery and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
They have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 5 February.
