Two more suspects arrested following serious assault in Margate

Additional suspects have been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Margate.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses following a report of a serious assault in Margate. Kent Police was called to the incident in Northdown Road near its junction with Ethelbert Road, shortly after 3am on Saturday 9 August 2025.

Patrols and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where a man was treated for an injury consistent with a stab wound.

The victim, who is in his 40s, was taken to a London hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable.

Arrests

A 20 year old man from Thanet was arrested in connection with the incident and taken into custody. He has since been bailed pending further investigation.

Later on Saturday 9 August, two women from Thanet, aged 25 and 27, were also detained. They were subsequently bailed whilst enquiries continue.

An investigation is underway including the examination of CCTV footage in the area and a forensic examination of the scene.
