An arrest has been made after a van stopped by police in Ramsgate was discovered to contain cannabis plants.
Shortly after midnight on Tuesday 1 October 2024, a patrol was on duty in Hollicondane Road when they had reason to stop the vehicle.
On speaking to the driver, officers became suspicious over his responses to their questions, prompting a search of the van.
During the search, boxes and bags were found, containing soil and growing equipment, as well as a number of plants.
A 26-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis with intent to supply. He has since been bailed while enquiries continue.
