Residents in the Ashford area are reminded to remain vigilant following a number of break-ins.
Kent Police is investigating burglaries in locations including Kingsnorth, Willesborough and Park Farm, which are alleged to have taken place between Sunday 18 January and Tuesday 20 January 2026.
Family jewellery and personal items are amongst the possessions reported to have been stolen from properties.
Investigations into the reports are underway and enquiries are ongoing, including reviewing CCTV, obtaining witness statements and gathering forensic evidence. Additional patrols will also be in the area.
Anyone with relevant information, who has not yet come forward, should contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/10769/26.
Detective Inspector Simon Johnson said: 'While these reports are being fully investigated, I would like to remind residents of steps that can be taken to safeguard against becoming a victim of crime.'Make sure windows, side gates and garages are securely locked, and burglar alarms are activated. Consider marking valuables to assist with their identification.'Make your home look as if it is occupied, especially during the winter months when daylight hours are shorter. Using timer switches on lights and radios can be an effective way to achieve this.'Remove keys, cash and other valuable items from view. Keep receipts and make a note of serial numbers for expensive items.'Ensure UPVC doors are locked with a key as well as lifting the handle, and lock away tools and garden items that could be stolen or used to break into your home.'Report all suspicious activity, by calling 101 or use the live chat function on the Kent Police website. Always call 999 if a crime is in progress.'
