Witnesses are sought after a woman reported being bitten by a dog in Faversham.
The incident happened in East Street at around 4pm on Wednesday 27 November 2024.
As the victim waited at some traffic lights, a stocky dark brown dog on a lead that was standing nearby, suddenly leapt up and bit her arm.
The man holding the lead is alleged to have sworn at the victim before he walked away. He is described as being white, in his 20s, around 5ft 10ins, of slim build and with several missing teeth. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a dark coloured hooded top.
His dog was around 3ft and wearing a black collar with some gold detail.
PC Sophie Rumsey said: ‘The dog involved in this incident was allegedly out of control and, while the victim was protected from injury by thick clothing, we are concerned that another member of the public or a child could have come to harm. ‘We are keen to trace the dog’s owner and are urging witnesses to call our appeal line.’
