Witnesses sought following burglary in Rochester

Witnesses are sought after a man was reported to have broken into a house in Rochester.
Officers are investigating after a woman discovered the man inside her property in Borstal Street at around 3.40am on Friday 16 July 2021.
The suspect ran out of the property after the victim raised the alarm. Nothing was reported to have been stolen.
The man is described as being Asian, with dark short black hair and wearing a dark top and a blue face mask.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Craig Hewitt of Medway’s CID team said: ‘Thankfully this type of incident is very rare. We are appealing for witnesses who may have seen anybody acting suspiciously in the area and would encourage anyone with information to get in touch.’
