A woman is to appear in court following a report of a serious assault in Broadstairs.
Kent Police was called to the St Peter’s area of Broadstairs at 6.50pm on Thursday 20 March 2025.
Officers attended a property alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service where a woman in her 20s was treated for injuries consistent with stab wounds.
She was taken to a London hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
A woman who was known to the victim was arrested and an investigation into the incident commenced.
On Saturday 22 March, Carla Lovejoy, of Guy Close, Broadstairs was charged with attempted murder.
The 53 year old has since been remanded in custody to appear before Folkestone Magistrates' Court on Monday 24 March.
