Young children were able to take a closer look inside a police vehicle during an event held at Brompton Barracks in Gillingham.
The event was organised by The Corps of Royal Engineers and Kent Police officers were invited to join the annual family day on Saturday 14 September.
The constables took the opportunity to talk to attendees about career opportunities with the police and also offered crime prevention advice to soldiers, veterans and their families.
They also showcased their police car and allowed youngsters to sit inside and check out some of the vehicle’s equipment.
Local officer, PC Isuru Ranaweera, said: ‘This was a great event to attend, and it was a pleasure to meet so many inspiring and aspirational people. ‘We enjoyed engaging with military families, explaining how to avoid becoming a victim of crime, and hope some may consider a career with the police in the future.’
