Suspect charged following assault outside Maidstone petrol station

A suspect has been charged by detectives investigating an assault in Maidstone which left a man suffering serious injuries.
The incident is alleged to have taken place at around midnight on Sunday 20 September 2020, outside a petrol garage and supermarket on Tonbridge Road, close to the junction with Stanford Drive.
Officers and ambulance crews attended and the victim was taken to hospital with head and facial injuries.
Arrest
Lee Crouch of The Broadway, Maidstone was arrested on Tuesday 22 September and charged the following day with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He was also charged with driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.
The 33-year-old later appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court where he was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 21 October.

Detectives continue to urge witnesses and anybody with dashcam footage of the incident to contact the appeal line.
