Suspect in court following distraction theft in Canterbury

A suspect has appeared in court following a reported distraction theft in Canterbury.
The victim reported that his wallet was missing after a woman came to his house in the Castle Street area of the city on Monday 7 December 2020.
Officers from Kent Police's Chief Constable's Crime Squad investigated and Carolyn Gleadall was arrested in Canterbury on Tuesday 22 December.
Ms Gleadall, of no fixed address, was later charged with theft and two counts of fraud, relating to the alleged use of a stolen bank card.
The 35-year-old appeared before Folkestone Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 23 December and was remanded in custody to appear again at the same court on Wednesday 30 December.
