Suspected shoplifting pair charged after cosmetics theft in Maidstone

Two suspected shoplifters have been charged following the theft of cosmetics valued at almost £1,000 in Maidstone.

At around 12.50pm on Tuesday 15 December 2020, Kent Police received a report that a quantity of beauty products had been stolen from Boots the Chemist in King Street.

Arrest 

Officers attended the scene and two people were arrested.

Michael McDonaugh, aged 19, of Homerton Road, Homerton, Greater London and a 15-year-old boy, also from Homerton, Greater London, were later charged with theft.

Both were bailed to attend Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on 23 February 2021.
