A robbery charge has been authorised against a man following an incident in Gillingham.
On 5 January 2021 a woman reported being robbed of a quantity of cash she had just withdrawn from a machine in High Street.
The victim told officers she was robbed at around 3.13pm after a man standing behind her pushed her out of the way and took the money from the ATM before he ran away in the direction of Canterbury Street.
As part of the investigation Thomas Arnold, 30, of Brompton Road, Gillingham, was arrested at around 9.45am on 11 January 2021.
Mr Arnold was charged with one count of robbery and appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on the same day.
He has since been remanded in custody and will next appear before Maidstone Crown Court on 9 February 2021.
