Suspected drug dealer charged following Tunbridge Wells arrest

A suspected drug dealer has been charged after a proactive arrest by officers in Tunbridge Wells.
At around 5.30pm on Monday 11 January 2021, a police patrol in Eridge Road stopped the driver of a Vauxhall Corsa they suspected of being involved in the supply of drugs. The officers completed a search of the vehicle and seized 36 deals of cocaine and a quantity of cash.
Charged
Viujan Leka, of no fixed address, was later charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, driving without insurance and possession of criminal property, namely the cash seized.
Mr Leka, aged 26, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 12 January, where he was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
