A suspected burglar has been charged with targeting a home in Gillingham.At around 8.15am on Tuesday 8 October 2019 Kent Police was called to reports a suspicious person had been seen near a property in College Avenue.Officers entered the premises and found it had been burgled, with a bankcard and a large quantity of jewellery taken. The items have since been recovered by officers. Following enquiries, Dominic Lycett of Corporation Road, Gillingham was arrested on suspicion of the offence and later charged with burglary.
The 30-year-old was remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 9 October 2019.At the hearing he was further remanded to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday 6 November 2019.
