Drugs arrests after a car is stoppped in Boxley

Police officers have arrested three people near Maidstone in connection with the supply of controlled drugs after stopping a rental car that had been reported as exceeding its hire period. 

The vehicle had travelled from Bredhurst into Boxley at around 1.45am on Thursday 1 February 2018 when it was stopped in Styles Lane.

Suspicions

Suspicions were raised after officers spoke to the three occupants and they were taken to Maidstone police station for the purposes of a drug search.

Arrests

A 21-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman from Dartford, and a 21-year-old man from Sutton Valence were subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.

A quantity of drugs believed to be cocaine was seized and all three remain in police custody while the investigation is ongoing.
