Arrests over drugs supply follow car pursuit in Sheerness

Two men from London have been arrested on the Isle of Sheppey on suspicion of being involved in the supply of drugs after their car reportedly failed to stop when requested to do so.
 
Officers from the Swale Community Policing Team requested the vehicle to stop in the Richmond Street area, at around 12.10pm on Thursday 3 January 2019.
 
When the vehicle continued driving a pursuit took place. It ended when the suspect vehicle came to a stop in a field off Queenborough Road, Queenborough, at around 1pm.

Arrests

A 55-year-old man from Wandsworth was subsequently arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug, dangerous driving, failing to stop when requested to do so, aggravated vehicle taking and driving under the influence of drugs.
 
A 27-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug and aggravated vehicle taking.
 
Both have been released, pending further enquiries.
