Arrest following suspicious fire near Canterbury

A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fire near Canterbury.

Kent Police was called at 11.47am on Monday 5 February 2018 to a report of a fire in a flat in Hoath. No casualties were reported. 

The man, who is from Hoath, was arrested later the same day, on suspicion of arson and abstracting electricity.

He currently remains in custody while enquiries are ongoing.
