Arrests in Tonbridge over supply of heroin and crack cocaine

A police stop check of a car in Tonbridge has led to the arrests of five people in connection with the supply of heroin and crack cocaine.

On Friday 2 February 2018 patrols were alerted to reports of a suspicious vehicle travelling near Sevenoaks.

A Citroen C4 was later stopped and searched in Tonbridge High Street, where officers seized cash as well as a number of mobile phones.

All the occupants were detained under the Misuse of Drugs Act for a search at Tonbridge police station, where quantities of substances believed to contain crack cocaine and heroin were later recovered.

Three boys, all aged 17 and from Bromley, Cambridge and Rushden, along with a 24-year-old man from Highbury, London and a 28-year-old man of no fixed address, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

They were all subsequently bailed to return to a police station on 22 February.
