Drug charges after car stopped in Chatham

Officers have charged a man from Rochester with various offences following a police stop in Chatham.
 
On Thursday 1 February at approximately 2.30pm officers attempted to stop a vehicle but the driver drove off and a short pursuit followed.
 
The car came to stop on Longley Road, Chatham where officers searched the car and found a large amount of cash and a quantity of class A drugs.

Charged

Ashley Stuart William Morris, 28 from Cecil Road, Rochester, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug, dangerous driving and possessing criminal property.
 
He is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 2 March 2018.
