Two charged following cannabis factory find in Folkestone

Police investigating a cannabis factory in Folkestone have charged two men.

On Saturday 3 February officers from the Shepway Community Policing Team carried out a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a property in Canterbury Road, Folkestone. 

A number of growing and harvested cannabis plants were seized by officers as well as a propagator and bags of dried cannabis. 

Charged

Simon Parry, 46, and Matthew Parry, 47, of Canterbury Road in Folkestone were each charged on 3 February 2018 with one count of producing cannabis.

They were released on bail to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on 21 February 2018.

Sergeant Greg Pochin said: ‘The Shepway Community Policing Team proactively tackle drug supply and use within the area. If you have any information about illegal drug activity, please contact 101 or alternatively you can anonymously contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.’
