Woman charged after elderly people targeted in Medway

A 24-year-old woman has been charged with seven offences after elderly people were targeted in Medway.

Chantelle Brown of no fixed address has been charged with three counts of burglary and theft, one count of shoplifting and a further count of theft.

She was also charged with one count of harassment and assault by beating.

The charges related to offences in Gillingham and Chatham and were committed between Thursday 7 December 2017 and Thursday 25 January 2018.

Officers arrested her the day of the latest offence and she was charged the following day.

Having appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court Chantelle Brown pleaded guilty to the offences and was remanded and is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on a future court date.
