Suspected Folkestone shoplifter arrested

Wireless headphones were seized after Kent Police officers arrested a Folkestone man on Thursday 8 March.
Officers from the Shepway Community Policing Team were out on patrol when they noticed him acting suspiciously in Watkin Road just before midday.
The 35-year-old man left the area but was pursued on foot by police to St John’s Church Road where he was searched and arrested on suspicion of theft.
Several sets of headphones, a power bank and ink cartridges were seized.
The man is also being investigated in connection with the theft of two shavers from a pharmacy in Sandgate Road on Tuesday 13 February.

He remains in police custody and enquiries are ongoing.
