Kent Police considers a person as missing if their whereabouts aren’t known and the circumstances are out of character; or if you think they may be a victim of crime, or be at risk of harming themselves or someone else. We consider them missing until located and their wellbeing established.
We need as much relevant detail as possible to know how best to help in this situation, so please tell us as much as you can.

The process we follow to assess risk and decide on the best course of action is the same for online reports as it is for those logged via 101. We check every report submitted.
Average completion time: 15 minutes. Average time for us to review your report: 45 minutes.

Confirmation that you or a colleague has spoken to them about why they disappeared
Any information about changes in behaviour and/or appearance
If you think they may have been exposed to harm, any information about that
Whether they have any unexplained items, ‘gifts’ or money
Why did they go missing
Where did they go
Who were they with
We’ll use the information you give us to assess the case and, if we’re satisfied that the person is returned safe and well, close the investigation.
