Are you passionate about history? Interested in getting experience in the heritage sector? We need your help telling the stories and history of policing in the county at the Kent Police Museum!
The Kent Police Museum has recently reopened at Faversham Police Station and we are looking for volunteers to help tell the story of policing, by welcoming, helping and supervising the public and groups when they visit the museum.
You’ll need:
There will also be opportunities to work behind the scenes on the collections, helping to catalogue and interpret our artefacts and helping in developing new initiatives for making Kent Police history available to the wider community.
This role requires a minimum contribution of three hours per week, with Saturday support particularly needed. Experience in policing and an interest in heritage is especially welcome.
To apply you need to be aged 18 or over and able to get to Faversham Police Station, which is situated close to rail and bus links. Free parking on site is available. All candidates will need to be vetted prior to starting any volunteering duties.
