In the unfortunate event that you are the subject of a burglary, you will be asked to preserve the scene as best you can before attendance by a Crime Scene Investigator (CSI).
Please do not touch or move items that you suspect have been handled by the offenders.
There are CSIs on duty from early morning to late in the evening, however if your burglary occurs overnight, a CSI may not attend your address until the next morning.
If the offenders have moved items onto the bed, we do not expect you to not be able to go to sleep, therefore if you need to move any items that you suspect have been handled by the offenders, please do so wearing gloves, or fold a plastic bag over your hands, and move the items carefully to one side; inform the attending CSI what exactly you have moved and where from.
As this is a walk in theft, forensic opportunities are limited.
