Policing Kent

Kent has an estimated population of 1.7 million, making it the fifth most populous county in England.

We are unique in our position, bordering four counties (including London) as well as being the gateway to Europe through a number of large ports and train terminals.

We're home to two cities as well as urban towns and small rural villages, all linked by a large strategic road network - M25, M2, M20 and M26.

We also have Europe’s largest retail and leisure centre - Bluewater - catering for 28 million visitors a year and one of the country's most famous cathedrals in Canterbury.

Needless to say, no two days are ever the same in Kent and we have a large number of specialist teams to help us protect victims, residents, visitors and businesses all across the county.
