Our control room in Maidstone is the start of our front-line response to members of the public. In 2021, we took 702,500 calls and responded to 44,000 enquires through our Live Chat (intended for non-emergency enquiries through our website).

The Professional Standards Department and the Paedophile Online Investigation Team are county-wide teams and the Serious Crime Directorate is shared with Essex Police.
We also operate a station at Bluewater Shopping centre with a small custody suite and a station at Longport near the Channel Tunnel with a dedicated custody suite with cells. We are a unique force in that we also operate a station outside of the UK, in Coquelles, France.
The force is supported by the National Police Air Service and we have a number of qualified drone pilots.
