'We have a long history of working with the armed forces and continue to have many distinguished members in our ranks' - Deputy Chief Officer Ian Drysdale, a former soldier in the Royal Signals
We are committed to supporting the military community. We recognise individuals with military experience often have transferable skills to undertake roles within the police force.
Individuals with military experience are familiar with professional standards, a disciplined organisational structure, motivation and resilience in challenging environments and a culture of delivering the best possible outcome. The values of the police and armed forces are strongly aligned, particularly in terms of public service, transparency and integrity which all have a place at Kent Police.
As part of our pledge to making a difference within our military community we have set up the Armed Forces Network. This network supports our ex-military workforce, their families and those looking to join Kent Police.
If you are interested in joining our outstanding force, view our jobs and volunteering opportunities and apply today.
