Step three
Stage 1 - vetting checks
You will undergo vetting reference checks to gain security clearance.
The background checks that we conduct are more in-depth than those conducted at eligibility stage via the police national computer. We search many national and local information databases.
It is essential that you are open, honest and transparent with us when completing the initial application and vetting questionnaire forms towards the end of the process.
Not disclosing information on your vetting form may delay you joining or even mean your application is rejected. If in doubt, seek advice and/or declare the information on your forms.
The vetting and references process can take up to three months to complete.
Stage 2 - identification (ID) verification
ID verification will be required to be completed before you start with us. We will complete an ID verification over Microsoft Teams and you will need to send scans of your ID while you are in pre-employment.
Once you are appointed and attend your induction, you will then be required to bring along your ID to the session so it can be verified face to face and signed off by a member of the training team.
Stage 3 - medical screening
You will need to complete and return a medical questionnaire confidentially to our health team.
It will be reviewed by one of our medical practitioners who will check all details you have provided.
Stage 4 - references
We will ask for a reference which covers the past three years, this can be a personal, educational or employment reference.
