We are looking for security workers or entire security companies with a strong public safety ethos to work as security community policing volunteers. You must be an SIA license holder.
We created this role in response to the UK based terrorist attacks of 2017. From the lessons learned, we established that with extra training, security staff could help us more during these types of incidents by:
If you are a Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence holder working in the security industry, we would like you or your company to help us make Kent a safer place to live and work by volunteering with us.
This is a semi-uniformed role and you will be given legal powers and provided specific training including counter-terrorism to help you deal with incidents you may be involved in. There is no minimum hour’s contribution, fitness test or medical examination needed for this role.
