Are you an officer serving elsewhere in the UK or who has previously served? Join us
We welcome applications from colleagues who are currently serving as special constables elsewhere in the UK.
If you have previously served as a special constable or a regular officer you can re-join us.
When we receive your application, we will ask you to forward us a copy of your training record and your latest personal development review (for transferees only). Once we have received this we will then invite you for a short interview with our special constable coordinator and special chief inspector for the area where you wish to work. If you pass this stage, you will then be invited to undertake a timed multiple choice knowledge check, where we will assess your current level of understanding on law.
This result will then be passed to our training team, they will arrange a one-to-one meeting with you via Microsoft Teams to discuss your skill gap analysis and learning programme (if needed). Once this has been confirmed, you will then be able to start duties/training.
