Are you:
If the answer is 'yes', then we want to hear from you!
The programme offers a unique, blended programme both in-person and online, providing an experience that will give you a fascinating insight into the world of policing and what it means to work for Kent Police.
Three days of the course will take place at Kent Police College in Maidstone (Monday, Thursday and Friday between 9am and 3.30pm) and two days will take place online.
Over the week you will have the opportunity to meet officers, staff, and volunteers from a number of roles including:
You will hear about the roles they do and the investigations they have been involved with. They will provide demonstrations of their skills and the equipment they use and, in some cases, will offer you the opportunity to get “hands-on” with some activities.
During the week you will have the opportunity to share your ideas about policing and engage in interactive exercises.
At the end of the course, you will hear from colleagues within our Recruitment Team who will provide information about how to apply for a role with Kent Police as a police officer or member of police staff. You will also meet with an officer who has just completed their basic training, where they will share their experiences.
