Applications for our 2025 work experience programme are now closed.
Please register your interest for our 2026 programme. We only have one work experience programme a year.
The programme will provide you with a captivating insight into the world of policing and what it's like to work for Kent Police.
If you're 15, 16, or 17 you can apply to join the programme that is held at Kent Police College in Maidstone from 9am to 3pm.
You'll be supervised by our Child Centered Policing Team and will follow the timeline of a fictional reported crime, showcasing the various departments within Kent Police and their collaborative efforts in handling a crime from start to finish.
You will have the opportunity to engage with officers, staff, and volunteers from various roles including:
You'll learn about the roles, the investigations they have undertaken, and observe demonstrations of their skills and equipment. In certain instances, you may also have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities.
At the end, representatives from our Recruitment Team will explain the application process for roles within Kent Police. You will also hear from an officer who has recently completed their basic training, who will share their experience.
