I first became interested in policing because I have relatives in Barbados who were serving officers, and some are still serving. Two family friends were in the Metropolitan Police Service when I was growing up in East London and I found them to be inspirational, which led me to become a police officer.
I have had a varied police career working across two police forces and have experience working in investigation, firearms, neighbourhood policing, specialist teams and public order. I have been in policing for approximately 28 years.
I feel that one of the main benefits of doing this job is that I can serve Kent communities and make a real difference.
