victims

We want you to feel confident about reporting a crime to us. To help, this section sets out what you can expect when you first contact us.

If a crime has already happened call us on 101 and you'll be put through to a call handler in our Force Control Room.

If you want to give information anonymously call Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

witnesses

If you witness a crime you have a vital role to play.

We understand you may be feeling upset and may have serious doubts about reporting what you've seen but we urge you to contact us.

It could be that what you saw prevents further crimes from being committed and stops the criminal/s doing the same thing to another victim.

You can find support every step of the way; whether it's from the Witness Service, or from one of our Witness Care Officers (if you've been assigned one).

The ‘Witness Charter’ explains how you can expect to be treated if you're asked to give evidence in a criminal court. You can read the Witness Charter on GOV.UK.
