Neighbourhood Policing Team
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of local officers and police community support officers, led by a sergeant and inspector. They’re based in your area and supported by the wider Kent Police team.
We work with councils, community groups and local leaders to tackle the issues that matter most, finding long-term solutions and reducing crime.
We publish the meetings and events we plan to attend, but attendance depends on operational priorities.

Antisocial behaviour - general.
Action taken:
Officers continue to tackle nuisance motorcycles and antisocial vehicle use through targeted patrols and enforcement activity in identified hotspot locations. Working closely with local residents and partner agencies, officers have seized a Sur-Ron electric bike and several illegal e-bikes following reports from the community.
Intelligence gathered from residents is being used to identify other riders involved in antisocial behaviour and support further enforcement action. Officers also work with housing providers to address antisocial behaviour linked to residential properties. This partnership approach has resulted in action being taken against individuals responsible for ongoing issues, helping to improve community safety and reduce the impact of antisocial behaviour on local residents.

Drug dealing.
Action taken:
Officers continue to act on information from residents about suspected drug dealing. This has led to more than 500 cannabis plants being seized from several growing sites and one person being arrested. Officers also patrol reported hotspot areas and use stop and search powers where there are lawful grounds. One person was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply, which means they were suspected of having illegal drugs to sell or distribute. Information reported through My Community Voice and other channels continues to help officers identify and disrupt drug-related crime.

We have been working hard to address your concerns around road safety. We have completed a number of roadside speed checks around your ward. A number of traffic offence reports (TORs) for speeding. In addition, we have been working with Speedwatch to raise awareness about the scheme and will be holding a community event next month - check My Community Voice (MCV) in due course for full details.
