  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Road safety issues.

    Issued 14 April 2026

    Action taken:

Speed compliance checks have been carried out in areas where concerns about speeding and road safety have been raised. These roadside checks help officers identify unsafe driving behaviour and provide a visible police presence within the community.

On Trinity Road, one driver was arrested for driving whilst over the legal alcohol limit and has since been charged to appear before the courts. In Repton and Kennington, two vehicles were seized after officers established they were being driven without valid insurance. These actions were the result of proactive patrols and information provided by local residents.

Officers continue to carry out targeted enforcement activity against drivers who pose a risk to other road users. Through proactive patrols, community intelligence and enforcement action, we aim to improve road safety, reduce dangerous driving and address concerns raised by the local community.

    Actioned 30 June 2026

  • Priority:

    Nuisance motorcycles.

    Issued 14 April 2026

    Action taken:

Following reports of motorcycles being ridden on footpaths and in local parks, officers have carried out targeted patrols in affected areas to identify offenders and address concerns raised by residents. During one incident, officers observed a rider using a moped in an antisocial manner on Beecholme Drive. The rider failed to stop for police and continued onto the cycle and pedestrian path near Ashford Rugby Club before being detained.

The individual was arrested on suspicion of several offences, including dangerous driving and failing to stop for police. A search of the vehicle resulted in two catapults and a quantity of cannabis being located and seized.

Officers will continue to patrol footpaths, parks and other public spaces to deter antisocial behaviour, identify offenders and improve safety for local residents.

    Actioned 30 June 2026

  • Priority:

    Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

    Issued 14 April 2026

    Action taken:

Officers have been working closely with a local housing provider to tackle serious antisocial behaviour and drug-related activity linked to a property in the Repton area. Following repeated reports from residents, a Closure Order was obtained for the address. A Closure Order is a legal power that allows a property to be closed when it is associated with significant crime, disorder or antisocial behaviour.

This action has successfully disrupted criminal activity linked to the property and reduced the impact on local residents and the wider community. Anyone who enters or attempts to enter the property in breach of the Closure Order can be arrested and may face prosecution.

Officers will continue to work closely with housing providers and partner agencies to identify and address properties linked to crime and antisocial behaviour, helping to keep local neighbourhoods safe and improve the quality of life for residents.

    Actioned 30 June 2026
