Neighbourhood Policing Team
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of local officers and police community support officers, led by a sergeant and inspector. They’re based in your area and supported by the wider Kent Police team.
We work with councils, community groups and local leaders to tackle the issues that matter most, finding long-term solutions and reducing crime.
We publish the meetings and events we plan to attend, but attendance depends on operational priorities.

Burglary residential.
Action taken:
Officers have been carrying out high-visibility patrols in the area as part of ongoing efforts to prevent and deter crime.
One burglary has been reported during the summer period. Officers will continue to maintain a visible presence in the community, provide reassurance to residents and respond to any concerns raised.
We encourage residents to remain vigilant, ensure their homes and property are secure, and report any suspicious activity to Kent Police.

E-scooters/E-bikes.
Action taken:
Officers are aware of concerns about the use of e-scooters and e-bikes in the area and have carried out high-visibility patrols in locations where issues have been reported.
Patrols help officers identify offences, engage with riders and take appropriate action where necessary. Privately owned e-scooters cannot currently be used on public roads, cycle lanes or pavements. Riders found using them illegally may have their vehicle seized and could face enforcement action.
We will continue to monitor reports and carry out targeted activity to improve safety and address concerns raised by the community.

Farming equipment thefts.
Action taken:
Officers have been working with specialist rural policing teams to help prevent the theft of farming equipment. This includes property marking, which helps identify equipment and can increase the chances of it being returned if recovered after a theft. Farmers are also being supported to fit tracking devices to valuable equipment so it can be located more easily if stolen. Officers regularly use Farm Watch, a messaging service for the rural community, to share crime prevention advice, provide updates and encourage residents to report suspicious activity.
